5 empty chapstick tubes
Essential oil dropper
1 1/2teaspoonshea butter
1 1/2tablespoonscoconut oil
2-3dropsvitamin E oil
4dropspeppermint essential oilor the scent of your choice
Mica powderin metallic pinkish red or your favorite color (be sure it's cosmetic grade)
Measure out your beeswax, Shea butter and coconut oil, then add it to your double boiler pan, stirring constantly until all of your ingredients have melted.(If you don't have a double boiler, you can fit a glass bowl or measuring cup into a pan of hot water.)
Remove the pan from heat, then mix in your vitamin E oil and peppermint essential oil.
Dip the end of your craft stick into your mica powder adding just a pinch of mica powder (a little goes a long way) and stir into the mixture until it's fully dissolved.
Carefully pour your melted ingredients into your chapstick tubes and let set for about 30 minutes until the chapstick hardens up. I like to use a dropper for mess free pouring, but it's best to use disposable droppers as they're really hard to clean out.
Once completely cooled, place the caps on your tinted lip balm and they're ready to use.
