Hi, my name is Chrystal and I have a problem. I hoard tea. My enormous stash of tea was taking up an entire shelf in our pantry. It was throwing madness into our kitchen organization and my husband was starting to get frustrated with how boxes of tea seemed to pour out of the cabinet every time you would open it. I couldn’t blame him – it was starting to get to me!
When he was out of town, I decided it was time to get my act together and organize my crazy tea stash. Kitchen organization is something that makes a big difference in the flow of our house, and my love of tea was getting in the way.
I spent hours upon hours researching how to best organize my tea stash. It was so hard to figure out something simple to contain hundreds (maybe thousands) of tea bags. I finally bit the bullet and ordered a tea storage box from Amazon.
When it arrived, I didn’t think it was going to work. The Traditional Medicinals teas that we drink a lot of are in a large package and they didn’t seem to fit at first. Then I realized if I just turned them sideways, the fit perfect and I could fit an entire box of tea in one little square of the tea storage box.
Once I made that realization, I immediately ordered a second box because one is nowhere near large enough to hold my mountain of tea! I was able to fit most of my stash into two boxes, although I still have enough set aside to fill a third box if I were to order one.
I was able to fit all of these boxes of tea into two nifty little tea storage boxes. My kids couldn’t figure out why I was taking pictures of trash. I was just astounded by how many tea boxes I was able to condense down into my tea organization boxes!
It’s amazing how much space this one little change freed up in our pantry! Now to come up with some kitchen organization solutions for some other areas of our kitchen.
