Are you looking for yummy smoothie recipes you can sneak a veggie into? This Tropical Smoothie recipe features a hidden veggie. Your kids will never know!
Now that warm weather has arrived (yay!), our blender will be getting a whole lot more use. I love the ease of whipping up smoothies for breakfast or lunch. Both the preparation and the clean up are quick and easy.
And the entire family loves smoothies. We do a lot of juicing as well, but I love how hearty smoothies are. They fill me up just perfectly during the hot summer months.
Even though my kids love veggies and we no longer have to sneak them, I still add them to everything. Smoothies are one more area where you can get some extra veggies (not just fruit) into your diet.
One way to sneak extra nutrition into smoothies is to use a superfoods powder. You can add a lot of goodness with just a little powder, but we still love to add fresh veggies too.
One of our favorite varieties of smoothies to make are tropical smoothies. I know a lot of moms struggle to get their kids to eat enough vegetables, and this is one that you can absolutely sneak a vegetable into.
I find that carrots work very well in tropical smoothies because they are slightly sweet and the color matches that of pineapple and orange juice. Your kiddos will never know!
In fact, if they’re anything like my girls, they’ll be asking for seconds! This recipe makes four small smoothies in just a few minutes, so feel free to double, triple, quadruple or multiply the recipe to your serving size needs!
