We reviewed our first Kelly Kits Kids Craft Box back in September, and the girls had so much fun that we went back for more! You can read my first Kelly Kits review here.
Today, we just did the first craft in our annual subscription and the girls had a blast with the fun activity. I love how simple the Kelly Kits crafts are. Sometimes it’s nice to have a interesting activity to do with the girls without an elaborate setup.
This month’s craft was called Mighty Mosaics Collage. The craft kit came with a set of instructions that gave direction on how to customize the program to your child’s age, small squares of colorful paper, black construction paper and a pencil.
We started the craft by working on sorting colors. Zoë was having fun with that, but Kaylee quickly lost her patience so we moved on to the next step.
They took turns using the glue stick to coat their construction paper in glue, then started in on their mosaic creations.
Kaylee glued mosaic pieces for a couple of minutes, but she was more interested in drawing with the pencil. Zoë spent quite some time working on her creation and she told me how much fun she had.
Here are her final pieces. Not too intricate, but it took a lot of patience for her to create these and I think they’re beautiful.
If you aren’t familiar with the Kelly Kits Craft Kit subscription, it’s one of the most affordable ones out there if you’re looking for something simple but fun.
It’s only $9.99 per month, $49.99 for 6 months or $99.90 per year for US residents. They also offer Gift Packs for $29.99, which include 5 activities each. These gift packs or the subscription service would be a very affordable Christmas gift for the art-loving child in your life.
