I bought a set of copper mugs a while back. They sat in the cabinet for at least a month before I got them out and started using them.
Right away, we fell in love with our copper mugs. Unfortunately, I didn’t know much about caring for them when we started using them.
Did you know that you can’t leave any moisture in your copper mug at all, or it will quickly tarnish? You need to very thoroughly dry your copper mugs each and every time you use them.
Don’t leave them to air dry or you’ll come to regret it. Our copper mugs very quickly ended up becoming tarnished on the inside.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t like drinking from tarnished cups even though I enjoy the health benefits of drinking from a copper mug.
So I set out to learn how to clean copper mugs using natural ingredients. What I discovered is that it’s super easy to clean them using two ingredients I always have in the house – lemon and sea salt.
